Count it in the way you actually count it

Deliveries arrive short, split across shipments, and occasionally wrong. Receiving has to handle that without anyone editing the original order to make the numbers agree.

  • Full or partial. Receive everything at once, or take in what arrived and leave the rest outstanding. The order moves to partial and keeps tracking the balance.
  • Scan it in. Use a barcode scanner to find and increment lines as you unpack, with matching that tolerates the mixed-case SKUs most catalogues accumulate.
  • Accept and reject separately. Record what you accepted and what you rejected per line, so a damaged carton is documented rather than silently missing.
  • Undo a mistake. Unreceive a receipt when someone counts the same pallet twice. The correction is recorded as its own event rather than editing history.

Landed cost

What it cost to get it here, not just what it cost

The supplier invoice is only part of the number. Freight, duty and fees change what each unit truly cost, and that difference is your margin.

  • Allocate charges across the lines. Spread freight and duty over the order by value, so the per-unit cost that lands in your ledger includes them.
  • It flows into your average cost. Every receipt writes a ledger entry, which is what makes the weighted average cost and the inventory valuation report meaningful.
  • Update the default cost, or don't. Deciding that a new price is the new normal is a deliberate choice. A one-off promotional price should not become the default for every future order.
Into Shopify

Stock lands where your team already looks

Receiving pushes the accepted quantities into Shopify inventory at the destination location, so the product page is right without a second step.

  • Quantities sync on receive. Accepted stock is written to Shopify inventory for the receiving location as part of the same action.
  • Failures are surfaced, not swallowed. If a sync to Shopify fails it is recorded on the order timeline so you can see it happened rather than discovering it in a stock count later.
FAQ

Common questions

What happens if a delivery arrives in three shipments?

Receive each one as it lands. The order sits in partial until the balance is complete, and each receipt is recorded separately with its own quantities and timestamp.

Do I need a special scanner?

No. Any standard barcode scanner that behaves as a keyboard works, which is nearly all of them. There is nothing to pair or install.

Can I print labels for what I have received?

Yes, through Stockie Barcode Labels. Purchase order quantities pull straight into the label app so you print the right number of labels for what actually arrived.

See it on your catalogue.

Install Stockie, let it read your sales history, and judge the suggestions against stock you actually know.
